As you begin to be able to dream recall better through using your dream journal, you should begin to start other techniques that will let you begin to dream lucidly.
One thing that I have been trying recently, which led to my second lucid dream, was a Reality Check. It involves doing something as simple as asking,"Am I dreaming right now". If you do this enough throughout the day and it forms as a habit this will transfer over to your dreamworld. Once you do it in your dream you will snap into a lucid dream because you will understand that this (dream) reality (is different from the norm and it will stand out.
Another thing I just started trying is trying to find an object in your dream or lucid dream. Lets say you want to find a pair of red gloves in your dream. Every night before going (when your subconscious is most susceptible to thoughts) to bed think about that object and manifest it into your dreams. If you get good at this and begin finding your objects then the possibilities are endless. You will e able to conjure anything you want into your dream. I personally think this s a really cool technique that I have yet to master.
