Induce Lucid Dreaming | This Tactic Did Not Work

Last night I tried something new for lucid dreaming. I turned my alarm clock 7 hours in advance and then slept. Then I woke up and did some low activity activities on the computer and gave myself good affirmations as well as listened to binaural beats. Then, after an hour I went back to bed for an hour, while constantly repeating to my self that I was going to lucid dream next time I dreamed as well as laid a plan out for what I wanted to do and had an object in mind I wanted to find. I had a hard time falling asleep for some reason. As well as I dont even remember my dreams ):

This technique is supposed to get you to start dreaming in your REM cycle right away once you go to bed for the second time (the hour). It sadly did not work for me.

Anyways here is a lovely artest who speaks from his soul with his music

Incompetence and a Game (:

I stumbled upon this wiki page and thought this was interesting

The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which an unskilled person makes poor decisions and reaches erroneous conclusions, but their incompetence denies them the metacognitive ability to realize their mistakes.[1] The unskilled therefore suffer from illusory superiority, rating their own ability as above average, much higher than it actually is, while the highly skilled underrate their abilities, suffering from illusory inferiority. This leads to the situation in which less competent people rate their own ability higher than more competent people. It also explains why actual competence may weaken self-confidence: because competent individuals falsely assume that others have an equivalent understanding. "Thus, the miscalibration of the incompetent stems from an error about the self, whereas the miscalibration of the highly competent stems from an error about others.

Click and hold the left mouse button to paint snow. The skier will do tricks if you let go of the button while airborne.

Draw snow under Solipskier to gain speed, do tricks and hit bonus gates. Avoid the jump chasms and red gates and tryto get the highest score you can! Share scores with your friends to see who's the best.

Try drawing long downslopes with short inclines on the end to gain speed and neccessary altitude (for higher gates).

If you pass through a green gate while airborne you'll get a multiplier and speed boost. The faster you go the more points you will rack up.

Induce Lucid Dreaming | Lesson 3 | Stay In Your Lucid Dream Longer

If you have ever Lucid Dreamed you know that it can be overwhelmingly exiting. This excitement can lead pre mature waking (see what I did there). I read a report on things that will help you stay in your lucid dream. Ill make this short because I know I dont really read long blog posts
Participants were told to do one of three things:

  • Spin
  • Rub hands together
  • Go with he flow
The results came from 80 subjects. These stats seem to show that you should A) Spin or B) Rub your hands together, dont just try to go with the flow.

The study says,"Only 33% of the flow technique lucid dreams were prolonged, compared with 90% of the rubbing and 96% of the spinning lucid dreams"

So it seems the best thing to do to stay inside your precious lucid dream longer is spin around. Here is a cool account from one of the lucid dreamers who were being experimented on.

As everything around me turned to blackness--no visual content whatsoever--I started to spin round and say, "The next scene will be a dream" ... I was astonished to find a hole of brightness opening up... the bright hole literally appeared as a break in the black clouds around me, as if the sun were breaking through. I could see the branches of a tree through the hole. As I continued spinning (and it's strange that even though I was spinning round, my sight of the hole was unbroken), I seemed to pull myself towards and through the hole into the countryside of the next lucid dream scene..."

Pretty Cool eh?

Induce Lucid Dreaming | Lesson 2 | Reality Checks and Finding an object

As you begin to be able to dream recall better through using your dream journal, you should begin to start other techniques that will let you begin to dream lucidly.

One thing that I have been trying recently, which led to my second lucid dream, was a Reality Check. It involves doing something as simple as asking,"Am I dreaming right now". If you do this enough throughout the day and it forms as a habit this will transfer over to your dreamworld. Once you do it in your dream you will snap into a lucid dream because you will understand that this (dream) reality (is different from the norm and it will stand out.

Another thing I just started trying is trying to find an object in your dream or lucid dream. Lets say you want to find a pair of red gloves in your dream. Every night before going (when your subconscious is most susceptible to thoughts) to bed think about that object and manifest it into your dreams. If you get good at this and begin finding your objects then the possibilities are endless. You will e able to conjure anything you want into your dream. I personally think this s a really cool technique that I have yet to master.

I am learning with you so I have yet to even come close to mastering these techniques. Hope yo enjoy, leave some feedback, or just advertise your blog (:
